My name is Shari Iba and I am a district-based administrator in
the Broward County Public Schools with headquarters in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida.
I am the Coordinator of Child Development and Family Services and have responsibility for providing leadership for all the district's preschool programs and family services. These include Before and After School Child Care, Early Head Start, Family Services Component for the Alliance of Quality Schools, Florida First Start, Head Start, HIPPY (Home Instruction Program for Preschool Youngsters), Prekindergarten Early Intervention, and Preschool Exceptional Student Education (ESE). I am very interested in communicating with other individuals who have responsibilities related to programs for birth to age five.
Living in South Florida can be lots of fun. With a subtropical climate and a multicultural population, it has long been a favorite tourist destination. The beautiful beaches, sports, shopping, unique architectural interests, festivals, and fabulous food draw millions of people from around the world each year.
