About Me

Welcome to my Homepage.

My name is Steve Ausitn and I am a teacher at Miami Beach Senior High School. I teach Art and Photography to 9th thru 12th grade levels.

I plan on teaching the following topics: Art history, Photo History, 2 D art, Basic desigh theory (color theory, space, line, shape an`d form, texture and value) as it applies to these subjects. I am interested in information on digital photography equipment in the 35mm format. My e-mail address is teacher7@aol.com if you have and good info.

About Where I live

It is very hot and humid in Southern Florida. The temperature averages about 92° durning the spring and summer months. The Sun seems to be brighter than in other parts of the country. I live in a city with the nickname The Venice of the South, Ft. Lauderdale. The city is very beautiful with the New River meandering slowly through its center. Ft. Lauderdale is a vacation spot with all of the typical attarctions plus a wonderful beach.

About Where I teach

I am sure that most of you have heard of Miami Beach and its history. I teach at Miami Beach Senior High School. 2231 Praiaire Ave. The school is directly across from the Miami Beach Convension Center, where the worlds largest boat show is held each year.

I have been a art teacher at Beach High for 25 years. This is my first teaching job and if I have my way it will be the school I retire from.

Our student body has changed with the times and is made up of about 20 nationalities. The students are great and bring life to the school and community. I love the Beach and feel I have been spoiled by me job. room
