Welcome to my Homepage. My name is Rosely Orchard and I am a teacher at Forest Glen Middle School in Coral Springs.
I teach eighth grade science and coordinate the Save What's Left environmental club. In addition, I am on the technology committee, inservice staff on multimedia computer technology and also serve on the Safety and Discipline committee.
This year Forest Glen has endorsed a 'uniform' dress code as well as a new block schedule and a 'Socratic' method of teaching and learning. Change is great and I am so excited to have the extended time in the classroom. As part of the curriculum, students will learn about (to name just a few) laboratory safety and management, matter and energy, ecosystems, environmental issues- new and old, and cooperative and collaborative learning.
I am very interested in meeting other teachers who teach the same subject area and have an interest in saving our planet and share ideas which work with the 'block.' This year I hope to get the students more involved with internet research technology within the science curriculum.
