Orange County Public Schools
Hello, my name is Rita Kienle. I am currently a teacher on assignment
for Orange County Public Schools serving as an Internet trainer. My main
goal this year is to help teachers integrate the Internet into their curriculum.
I love teaching but I also enjoy learning therefore, I decided to pursue
a Master's degree in Educational
Technology at The University of Central Florida. I will complete
this degree in the summer of '98.
In my spare time, I coach the girls lacrosse team at Lake Howell
High School. Coaching is an extension of my teaching and I enjoy working
with the girls. They help keep me young!
My collegues and I have been blazing cybertrails to absorb as much
information as we can before we leave The
Miami Museum of Science. We learned how to effectively teach teachers:
- how to use the Internet as a research tool,
- how to use email,
- how to evaluate Web pages,
- how to find Internet resources to aid in the teaching of the Florida
Sunshine State Standards, and
- how to create Web pages
If you would like to share Web sites and/or classroom activities
that will help teachers in the state of Florida meet the needs of the Sunshine
State Standards pleasedo so on the InTech
If you would like more information on InTech 2000 training for your
school district, contact Henry Pollack.
