Welcome to my Homepage.
My name is Maureen Aprea-Ruales and I am a Resource Teacher at Seminole Heights Elementary in Tampa, Florida.

About My School

I work with the K-5 curriculum, especially in Reading and Language Arts.I am very interested in meeting with other teachers interested in these topics. I am particularly interested in those doing Reading Recovery training or how those strategies have been adapted at your school site. In addition, if you are doing guided reading using leveled text with children I would appreciate any information.

About Where I Live

I live in Tampa, Florida. It is usually hot; however, we have had much rain lately due to El Nino.

I love to travel and read. I have really enjoyed my time at the Cyberseas Training Institute in Miami, Florida. I grew up in Miami and have really been able to "walk down memory lane" while I have been learning new techniques for the future.
