I am also a very active member of the Higher Education Consortium, an alignment of Colleges and Universities working together for the inprovement of undergraduate and preservice education. The schools involved in this alignment include; Florida Atlantic University, Palm Beach Community College, Broward Community College and Nova Southeastern University.
In my "spare time", I like to get up in the air and go flying, usually on the weekends, with my flyboy friends, Perry, Paul, Jerry, Bob and Bob. Oh those magnificant men and their flying machines! We fly single engine planes, mostly a Piper Arrow turbo-prop, Piper Warrior and a Gruman Tiger. I quess it only makes sense that I would end up flying, being that I was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, home of the Experimantal Aircraft Association ! One of the greatest thrills in my flying experience was getting the opportunity to fly an old military airplane, the T-34, while visiting a friend in Merrit Island, Florida. It was great!! I even got to take over the controls in the air, but I let my more experienced co-pilot work through through the loops, rolls, spins, etc!
