My name is Kathryn Carr and I am an Educational Specialist with
the Miami-Dade Area Center for Educational Enhancement. Before working
for the center I was a middle school science teacher for 13 years in Miami-Dade
County.
The center is better known as the Miami-Dade ACEE and is one of six centers that are across the State of Florida.The center is housed within the Office of Educational Planning at the Miami-Dade School Board Annex building.
The purpose of the ACEE is to act as a liason between the Florida DOE and the districts within the state.We are responsible for providing information on the Sunshine State Standards, using the Curriculum Frameworks, the Florida Writes! and FCAT tests, and strategies for critically low performing schools.
