Welcome to my Homepage.
My name is John Murray and I am a teacher
at Miramar High School. I teach Algebra to 10th and 11th graders. I am
originally from Stratford, Connecticut. I decided to go to college at the
University of South Florida in Tampa. I graduated in 1993 with a bachelor's
degree in Physical Education. In 1995, I received my certification in Mathematics
from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. I am currently taking classes
at FAU towards my master's degree in Cirriculum and Instruction.
I plan on teaching percents, formulas, probability, equations and graphing this upcoming school year. I am interested in meeting other teachers who are interested in these topics. This will be our first year using the internet in the classroom. My students will be working in cooperative groups to search and find valuable resources on the worldwide web.
It is very hot in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The temperature often reaches 98 degrees. There is very little seasonal change. We have beach weather all year long, fun places to visit, and tourist attractions galour. Some of the many benefits of living in sunny South Florida!
Search engines are a great way to find useful information on the Web. One of my favorites is Education World.
