About Me
Welcome to my Homepage! My name is Joanna Hayes. I am a teacher at Griffin Elementary where I am the teacher of 4th and 5th grade highly gifted students. I have been teaching in Broward County since 1972.
About My Classroom
This year we will begin our studies with the Westward Movement.Through a simulation, we will integrate the different curriculums. We will read a novel about the Westward Movement, make predictions, calculations, problem solve, and graph as we move west. We will be using web sites and The Oregon Trail as we travel. We will be writing in our journals about our daily life on the trail. As we read our novel, we will become part of the move out west.
