This is the second list of Internet Resources for teachers and students engaged in project-based research about Haitian Culture. The first one was distributed to the teachers and students who participated in the Konbit Kreyol Haitian Flag Day Parade and Cultural Fair held at Miami Edison Middle in May 1998. Konbit Kreyol, now in its 9th year, has attracted an average of 2,000 students a year since its inception at Miami-Dade Community College North in 1989 with approximately 300 participants. We hope this mini-Internet resource handout will help you rediscover the beauty and mysteries of our Haitian Heritage during the month of February and throughout the year. And, we hope to see you again during Konbit Kreyol in 2000 and every year thereafter, especially in 2004 when Haiti celebrates its 200th anniversary of its independence ! |
