Biographical Information

My greatest contribution to education in the past seven years has been pushing my students to their fullest potential. By believing in them and entrusting the belief that if they have faith in themselves there is nothing that they can not accomplish, their self esteem has improved. My students and myself abide by our school's motto, "I can be anything I choose to be. First, I must believe. Then I must achieve, But it is all up to me."

Teaching is very rewarding yet at the same time it can be somewhat frustrating. Children come to school with so many disadvantages and voids in their lives, and it is up to us to fill the void. I believe that no matter what obstacles children face in our society, it is up to us to instill in them the belief that all children can learn. Our classrooms can be a refuge for children whose home lives leave much to be desired. We must make students feel loved, worthy and important and in turn they will feel a sense of success and improved self esteem. We are their home away from home.

Personal Interests

I enjoy spending my spare time with my twin nieces, Victoria and Christina. When I am not with them I also enjoy going to the movies and dining with my friends. Cooking and keeping a tidy home are two things that are very important to me.
