Map Adventures

This K-3 site enables students to acquire basic concepts for visualizing objects from different perspectives through interactions with Nikki. Activities become increasing more complex. Teacher materials, activity skills, suggested lessons are included

National Geographic

This site connects you to National Geographic. Students can create their own maps, learn how to design a map and travel throughout the country.

Make a Map

This activity helps students become familiar with maps as representations of real scenes with map keys. Students will create a map and a map key.You can use an assessment rubric to assess students' mastery of objectives. Students will be drawing things they want in a playground.


Using Street Address or Intersection or City, State students can locate and review where they live in relation to the area around their homes (and other places.) The site allows one to locate, zoom in and out, and go east-west-north-south to explore simple maps.
