Materials

12 x 18 art paper, colors, markers, colored pencils, etc. and teacher made list of plane geometry figures written in bold fonts

What to do

Students will create their own picture of a landscape to include plane geometry figures from the teacher-made list(Example: Draw a picture of a house with right angles at the corners and in window panes, obtuse angles in the roof line, rectangular windows, and decorative trim could include accute angles. Other geometric figures could be used to make flowers, leaves on trees, vehicles, etc.) When each student finishes their drawing, the teacher-made list of plane geometry figures will be cut into individual labels to paste onto the picture to identify each geometric figure in the picture.
