What to do

Select proper textbook pages dealing with purpose of the lesson and illustrate concepts with manipulatives. Explain to the students the concept followed by concrete examples. Explain and demonstrate real life situation where it is necessary to compare relative fractions such as comparing two sections of a pizza.

Additional Information

The student will recognize that one fraction is equal to or greater than another or be its equivalent. Student will apply present knowledge of relative sizes of whole integers. After explaining concepts have students practice by doing assigned problems from text. They can work together in small groups and hand in one sheet signed by all.
