12 cubes ( 24..36..) Isometric Dot paper Table headings: length, width, height, surface area Colored pencils

What to do

The students will use cubes to build boxes of the same volume and discover which arrangement is the most efficient. Build the various boxes, draw the isometric drawing,fill in table.

Additional Information

Extention... Find the 'BEST box using 24 cubes...36 cubes... Do you see a pattern? Can you form a rule?
