Reference books (or Web Sites on Animal) Construction Paper Animal Habitats (real or Made) Animal For habitiat (real or made) Scissors glue crayons or colored pencils

What to do

Have the habitats set out in the room with the wrong animals in them. (eg. Bird at wasp nest) Some college musuem will let you check out stuffed animals. Ask the students to write down where the animals should really go. The students then can construct an animal habitat of their own out of construction paper. (build a pond for a beaver.)

Additional Information

Students may also write a classified ad to sell their habitat.
