What to do
Have your group stand in a circle. Have the members of the group pick a plant or animal they would like to be. Have them organize themselves based on who relies on who for food, shelter, etc. Once the members of the group are standing next to someone they rely on, have one person squeeze the hand of the person to their left. Once the squeeze has traveled around the circle, discuss how it is connected. After the discussion ask the group to select one plant or animal who is unimportant and ask that member to step out of the circle. Do not have the group close the gap. Start the hand squeeze again. Is the cycle complete? What are the ramifications to removing one seemingly disposable plant or animal?
