What to do

Place students in a circle. Hand globe to one student at a time. Student spins globe and places finger and stops the globe from spinning. Student says "water" or "land" depending if their finger is touching water or land. Pass globe to next student in circle and repeat. Chart results on board. Calculate percentage of results for water to land. It should come out to approximately 75% of water to land.

Additional Information

Students can also make a graphing activity out of this.
