What to do

1)Build a rocket following directions in rocket kit. 2)Review all safety codes related to launching rockets. 3)Find mass of rocket (including engine) before launching. 4)Using stopwatch, time in seconds the length of time for rocket to reach its highest point. 5)Use tracking device or AltiTrak altitude finder, to determine altitude reached. 6)Calculate the velocity of rocket using formula for velocity. Distance (M) Velocity (f) = _______________ Time (sec.) 7)Find acceleration of rocket using the following formula: V(f)m/sec - V(i)m/sec a (m/sec2) =_____________________ Time 8)Calculate average upward force (thrust) using this formula: Force = mass x acceleration
