Teacher materials:Big book of Jack & the Beanstalk,chart paper -Student Centimeter rods & tapes, butcher paper,construction paper, pencils,paint & scissors

What to do

1.Read story & discuss size & measurements of giants. 2. Review lines & numbers on the cm rods & tape. 3.Make estimations of:height,circumference and lenght of foot. 4.Record on graph 5. Take measurements of their own height,circ and feet(Work in partners) 5.estimate what they think giants measurements are. 6.Estimate how many footsteps it would take their giants to walk around different locations around school 7.Draw a picture of a giant 8. Write a story.
