About Me

My name is Barbara Sawler Salmi. I am the Instructional Technology Specialist at Anclote Elementary School located in New Port Richey, Florida. Our school, home of the Anclote Sailors, is one of 27 elementary schools located in Pasco County, which is situated in west central Florida. I am responsible for providing technology inservices to our staff, maintaining our technology equipment and keeping our Macintosh lab up and running.

About Anclote

Our school, Anclote Elementary, houses approximately 1000 students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5.

Our students and staff really enjoy working in our lab environment. We use our lab for technology inservice training and student access. Students visit the lab with their teachers on a regularly scheduled basis.

We are looking forward to doing a Net Day project soon in which we hope to start by networking a small portion of our school!

About Where I Live

Originally from Pembroke, Massachusetts, I now live in Land O'Lakes, Florida. I have lived in Florida since 1976. Land O'Lakes is located approximately 20 miles north of Tampa. Our town is within easy driving distance to Busch Gardens (approximately 20 minutes) and other popular attractions in Orlando (a little over an hour).
